About Me

Hello, I’m Logan – a researcher, college instructor, and novelist based out of British Columbia.

My academic research is focused on radicalization, terrorist/extremist organizations, and the online tactics and media campaigns of a variety of modern extremist movements. You can see an up-to-date list of my academic work here.

My second novel Troll has been called a “bravura writing performance” by the Vancouver Sun, “an impressive feat” by the British Columbia Review, and is based on a fictionalized account of my PhD research on online extremist movements.

Troll was released in April of 2023 and has been featured by Quill & Quire, All Lit Up, 49th Shelf, the Hamilton Review of Books, BC BookWorld, the Williams Lake Tribune, Broken Pencil, and the Giller Prizes’s Craving CanLit list and others.

See here for more details or to pick up a copy.

And here is a recent interview I did regarding the book.

My debut novel Panegyric released in April of 2020. It’s been called “audacious” by BC Booklook, “unconventional and ambitious” by The British Columbia Review, a “vocabulary expander” by the WL Tribune, and “bonkers and kind of like a fever dream” by Butterflies & Aliens, and I really can’t pitch it any better than that. Read more about it here.

Of course, if you’re just here to listen to what Sierra Said, I won’t keep you.
